Service was great and the food was delicious. I had the special of the day savoury French Toast and it did not disappoint the brie cheese with the strong ham were chef’s kiss worthy.

On our way home from Nanton my mother and I just decided on a whim to try The Dining Car. We had and EXCEPTIONALLY good time! The food was Fantastic! Best meal we have had out in years, no joke! Everything was home made and you knew it. So comforting. The atmosphere is light and warm, soft music playing, not nearly as cramped as I thought it might feel. Our waiter(whom I'm so sorry I didn't remember his name) was wonderful. VERY clean and well maintained. You can tell they take pride in everything the do there. We 100% wl be back more often! If you haven't been here I highly recommend and make sure during peak season and hours(11 to 1pm) to call and make reservations! Unfortunately there is one thing that would make it hard for some, it's not wheel chair accessible. There is stairs leading up to the door and a very narrow hallway and small bathroom at then end.

Really nice spot that pays tribute to important Canadian history. The burger I had was one of the best I've ever had. The meat and bun were so fresh. And on top of that prices are reasonable!

Great little restaurant with tasty food. We had brunch on a Sunday wasn't too busy but we had easily made a reservation online to make sure they could fit our us and the kids. Husband LOVED brie and bacon omelet and I had build your own burger made with local beef and Asiago garlic fries, also delicious. Kiddos couldn't stop eating their chicken fingers and grilled cheese, the 3yr old insited we stay till he ate every last fry. If in the area it's a must try! and check out the museum next door, had a great kids play area and lots of interesting history and info about film and TV shows filmed in town and surrounding area.

Great food, friendly staff, and a really cool throwback atmosphere! Try the eggs benny with Chipotle hollandaise! It's genuinely the best eggs benny I've ever had! Hash browns are also incredible, crispy fluffy little cubes of deliciousness seasoned perfectly! (Also great when dunked into the Chipotle hollandaise!)

This eatery is a historical experience, a CPRail passenger train turned into a restaurant that offers home food: fresh baked bread fresh pies, obviously freshly made hollandaise sauce with just the right zing and not too butter forward. You can Build Your Own Eggs Benedict and Bugers, and the soup of the day was deliciously well balanced. The stuffed French toast was a hit and so was the Chicken Green Apple Sandwich. The owner has train stories to tell and is an excellent host. The bathroom at the back of the car (not accessible given the age and build of the rail car) has a geometric ceiling tile and is well maintained.

Although we had only an hour to spend in High River breakfast in the Dining car was a perfect start of our day — tasty local food with plenty of choice, very friendly server. Truly authentic atmosphere, emphasized by drinking from the vintage CN cup. Thank you for making our morning special!

I've been wanting to come here for quite some time and am really glad that I finally was able to. They have done a tremendous job of using this historical significant diningcar (1 of 10 in North America) to recreate a dining experience. You know it's going to be a great place when the head chef helps bring food and buys tables. The food is exceptional, and so is the service, but I'd suggest making a reservation... this gem is popular and books up fast. Everything looks delicious, but this might be the best salmon eggs benedict I've ever had.
